At the beginning the Lord gave mankind a lovely and perfect world. We can read in the Bible in Genesis 2, 15: The Lord took the man (mankind) and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it vand take care of it.
The Lord demanded us to administer the earth with responsibility – read Genesis 1, 28:
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
In early biblical times mankind’s influence on the nature was limited and the consequences of misleading had a contained risk.
Nowadays things have changed, industrialization and the negative effects of agriculture, forestry and ranching are challenging our environment. The greenhouse effect is a FACT and no serious scientist denies that the temperature on earth is constantly climbing and that climate determined catastrophes are increasing.
We straighten out rivers, clear forests, produce mountains of garbage. We use up non-renewable resources at a speed as if there was enough for ever.
Oil production is leaving terrible scars, just think of the wars and the irrevocable pollution of soil.
Oil consumption isn’t efficient either, the extraction of oil and processing it to petrol or diesel requires a lot of energy and water. The combustion not only isn’t efficient but also pollutes our environment.
In the last years technology has finally proved that we can increase and expand the generation of energy from renewable sources.
This is our fixed point.
Nevertheless we know that mobility with 0 emission doesn’t exist!
We just want to point out to the chances that could positively change our region for a credible sustainable future.
That is why we want to encourage local economy stakeholders to get more and more involved in themes regarding the future of mobility.
Solving the mobility challenge will require bold, coordinated actions from the private and public sectors.
